St. Patrick’s Day in Scituate
The Scituate St. Patrick’s Day Parade is held in Scituate, Massachusetts. Scituate known as The Irish Riviera holds the 3rd largest parade (some say it is the second largest) in Massachusetts. The parade first began as a little procession around the block in the neighborhood of Minot, Scituate in order to celebrate Scituate’s Irish heritage. Since the first parade, it has grown five times in length! The parade starts March 20th at 1:00 pm at the Gates Middle School on First Parish Road. It continues onto First Parish Road, past the Scituate Fire Station into the Scituate Harbor, and ends at the Hatherly Road and Jericho Road intersection. The parade goes right by The Inn so you can have front row seats!
Many bands come from all over including the Boston Crusaders Senior Drum & Bugle Corps, Big Nazo Band, Middlesex County Vo. Fife & Drums, Aleppo Shriners Cape Cod Fire Brigade, Nigh Life Big Band, and many more.
