Learn About the Polar Express Train Ride
The train ride is between 60 and 90 minutes long. The train departs from Greenbush Commuter Rail Station at various times throughout the day on December 11, 2016:
9:45 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:40 p.m., and 4:40 p.m.
For the 12:30 p.m. time, a car will be available for special needs children and their families if they would prefer a more relaxed environment with the same experience.
Once aboard the train, there’s a lot of fun in store for the duration of the ride.
Children will hear a story time tale, “The Polar Express,” while enjoying milk and cookies. There will also be Christmas caroling, and special guests will be popping up, such as Santa’s elves, Rudolph, Mrs. Claus, and even jolly Santa Claus himself.
Santa will be giving out a “first gift of Christmas” to each child aboard the train.
To really get in the spirit of the event, kids are encouraged to wear their pajamas aboard the polar express train ride!
